Located at The Piece Hall Halifax, The Rug & Table Shop specialise in quality rugs and bespoke handmade tables. The owner, Sarah, designs the tables and the local tradesmen manufacture them.
The showroom offers town centre convenience. There is also parking a minute’s walk away and the Rug & Table Shop offer FREE home delivery within a 5 mile radius of Halifax and delivery throughout the rest UK for a small charge.
Visit the showroom to see some of the bespoke tables on display, a large selection of over 60 rugs and all the beautiful complementary items such as mirrors, clocks, cushions, sculptures, lighting and small gift items.

We have a large selection of rugs on display, with various sizes, colours and materials. We work closely with brands and suppliers such as Louis De Poortere, Nourison, Brink & Campman, Alternative Flooring, Asiatic and Jacaranda.
Our large ranges includes designers such as Harlequin, Sanderson, Scion, Ted Baker, Blueballgrey, Morris & Co and Wedgwood plus many more.

Bespoke Furniture at The Piece Hall Halifax
Our handmade tables are designed to allow you to create the finished look. You choose the frame, colour, finish, table top and legs to enable the handmade item to be finished exactly how you wish.
Flooring has been incorporated into the table tops using parquet, wood planks or Concreate. The versatility of the wood allows a large range of finishes such as stains, oils, flamed, lacquered and painted.
We love to team up with local businesses. B D Brooks Stone Masons and Ryburn Valley Fine Furniture are a couple of local tradesmen who produce the table frames and legs. Working alongside such reputable companies, we are able to alter designs, where required, as a result, we can offer that truly bespoke option.
Likewise, we use Mylands of London products to finish our tables. We use their high quality paints and wood stains because they work fantastically well with the handmade tables. Visit our store to see the large range of colours and stains.

The Rug & Table Shop have a beautiful selection of quality mirrors, clocks, cushions, sculptures and lighting. The salt & pepper pots are real showstoppers along with the octopus table décor range that transform any table ready for that perfect diner party.

The Piece Hall Halifax
We are excited to be one of the many amazing shops in this beautiful Grade I listed building. The Piece Hall is an architectural and cultural phenomenon which is absolutely unique. It is the sole survivor of the great eighteenth century northern cloth halls, a class of buildings involved in the trade in hand woven textiles to the pre-industrial economy of the West Riding of Yorkshire, from the Middle Ages through to the early nineteenth century.
The Piece Hall hosts a huge array of events, from contemporary and classical music concerts, to intimate site-specific performances, circus spectacle and street theatre.
